A package of customer experience improvements for the upcoming H-1B cap season was announced by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The offerings are meant to streamline the process of organizations and their legal representatives to collaborate to complete their filings. Of note is the coming availability of USCIS organizational accounts to be available for the upcoming H-1B filing.
USCIS Organizational accounts will be available for non-cap filings and H-1B cap filings for FY2025. These accounts give multiple individuals from a company or other business entity, and their legal representatives to work together to complete H-1B registrations, Form I-129, Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker, and related Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service. Upon introduction and account setup, the entire H-1B process will be fully electronic, from registration through the final decision and transmission to the Department of State.
February 2024 is the target date to make these USCIS organizational accounts available. Following shortly after will be online filing for Form I-129 and Form I-907. These changes are expected to reduce duplicate H-1B registrations and other common issues.
The paper filing location for Forms I-129 and I-907 will move to USCIS lockboxes to further increase efficiency, reduce costs, and standardize processes.
Two national engagement events will be hosted by USCIS to review the organizational accounts on January 23, 2024, and January 24, 2024. There will also be several smaller sessions available as the H-1B registration date approaches. Attendees to these sessions can get their questions answered to best prepare for the new accounts. USCIS encourages those involved in the H-1B registration and petition filing process to attend these events. Invitations are expected to be sent out in January 2024.
