U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced a filing fee increase for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, effective February 26, 2024. The increase in cost reflects inflation. Per the USCIS Stabilization Act which was passed in 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has the authority to adjust premium processing fees every other year. However, this is the first time the fee has been updated. All eligible forms and categories are subject to the increase in fee.
The increase is based on inflation from June 2021 to June 2023 using the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers. The increase in fees will be used to provide premium processing services, improve and respond to adjudication, and other USCIS services.
