The family’s asylum claim identified religious persecution in their home country. Following filing their petition, the biometric appointment was completed in 2017. The interview has not been scheduled. Despite multiple requests on the status of their case, no information has been provided. The family continues to wait on a final decision.
The family is asking the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) asking to complete processing of their claim. They state they are unable to plan for their future with confidence. The lawsuit asks for an order to require the government to process their application.
