The US Welcome Corps is suspended due to the January 20th Executive Order, known as “Securing our Borders” until further notice. In line with President Trump’s tougher immigration enforcement policy, all refugee processing activities-not just those being conducted by the US Welcome Corps-have been temporarily halted. This includes both the intake of new applications into and the processing of all submitted applications by the corps.

The US Welcome Corps is a volunteer service organization that seeks to sponsor and support refugees in resettling in the U.S. Each sponsor group, made up of at least five people, provide aid and guidance for refugees seeking entry into the U.S. and acclimating to their news lives once accepted. Volunteers work directly with the people they sponsor. The Corps is currently suspended.
