U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced they have enough applications from the initial H-B registration period. This includes H-1B applications under the advanced degree exemption (master’s cap). The submission period for beneficiaries from selected employers begins on April 1, 2026.

Beneficiaries only file H-1B cap-subject petitions at the proper filing location or online through their myuscis account. The H-1B cap registration period lasts until June 30, 2026. Additionally, USCIS only accepts the most recent version for Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker. Submit the most recent version for the H-1B cap. Finally, all information contained in a cap petition must match the information submitted during the initial H-1B registration period.
